Another type is the acoustic guitar. This is the accessible kind of guitar, for it can be carried and played in any place without the hassle of using a speaker. Folk and country singers prefer it for its bluesy acoustic vibe. The acoustic sound is more relaxing and smoother than the galvanic one.

A third type of most generally used guitars is the bass. This is a four-stringed instrument, which uses thick strings and produces a deep low tone. Usually it is used to accompany the galvanic guitar and accentuate the timing. Like the drum, bass guitar is needful because it also serves as the timekeeper and defines the tempo of the song. It adds boost to the sound, which amplifies the rhythm.

There are also other type string instruments, which serve a dissimilar purpose. Examples are the cello guitar and the mandolin. These types can be seen being used in orchestra plays and recitals. There are lots of kinds out there and each one serves dissimilar purposes.
